Early in the season, many observers knew the Cochrane High School Cobras junior-varsity boys basketball team was championship-grade.

The top ringette teams from across Alberta are in town March 21-23 for the provincial U12A ringette championships. The Cochrane Rockies are hosting teams from Calgary, Edmonton and area, Lacombe and Red Deer.

The Thunder rolled. And rolled, and scrambled and tossed their way to a provincial championship. St. Timothy School Thunder wrestlers are the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association provincial champions for 1A-2A (small-population) high schools.
