Hunter Sawka and Ethan Neutens were selected in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.

"On that Thursday (March 19), we were told not to practice and that the league had been paused until further notice. We were quarantined until our departure five or so days later. Then on the 23rd, it was announced the season was officially cancelled. I'm not quite sure it's set in yet, it's all so crazy. Every day that passes I miss it more, and it sets in a little more too."

"He was always really positive and funny, just a really nice human being."

"We all love lacrosse and want to get back into it but making sure everybody is safe and following the guidelines is more important right now."

"I totally support the decision," Parnell said. "I think they kind of waited as long as they could but it was a decision that had to be made, there was obviously no question about it. For me, it's really a case of change in priorities and what's important so I'm not going to run in it when it hopefully comes back in September ... I've cancelled my accomodations and flight."

The Cochrane Generals will lose four key players due to graduation.

"As a hockey player or I guess athlete of 18-to-20 years I can really relate to every hockey player and athlete nationally whose leagues came to an unfortunate end due to COVID-19," she said. "It's really unfortunate for all of the seniors who didn't get a chance to finish out there seasons properly. Unfortunately I am considered an overage or a senior in our league."

"It’ll be an honour to do so again," Daniel exclaimed. "It’s pretty surreal racing when you know you have so many people back home supporting you. That feeling will continue to drive me as I continue to push towards my next games, whenever it may be." 

The Cochrane Generals and Cochrane Chaos were both primed for long playoff runs in their respective leagues that had championship potential written all over them.
