One of our coffee companions responded to my June 30 column on imagination with something imaginative of his own: an image of a brown trout that inspired me to imagine a more caring world in which hate is healed with hugs.

Our youngest grandson, Matthew Connor, who will turn two in a week’s time, loves to wear hats. He has quite the collection and will choose one and wear it all day. What Matthew Connor doesn’t realize is that most of his hats serve a purpose.

Summer has arrived and Seniors on the Bow (SOTB) will be open for reduced hours in July and August. During July the centre will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
