Here’s the perfect prescription for these days of COVID-19 doom and gloom: a Cup of Light.

The task of preserving culture in the face modernization is not an easy task. So, remind yourself, the young Indigenous men and women who are judged so harshly are likely skilled hunters and harvesters.

We honour our teachers, who are critically important adults of influence in the lives of our children. We can all remember a special teacher in our youth who contributed positively to who we are as adults today.

This week’s column celebrates the 80 th birthday of one of our coffee companions who hasn’t missed a week since Coffee with Warren began appearing in the Cochrane Eagle with its first issue on August 1, 2001.

Everywhere we turn since COVID-19 entered the scene we are witnessing grief – grief over the loss of life, grief over the loss of lifestyle.

Thank you Cochrane! The efforts we are putting into flattening the curve are working.

Those of us who consider ourselves to be true conservatives hope these Liberal, turned Reformer Jason Kenney supporters feel really proud of themselves now that he is running doctors out of our health care system.
