The Venue Bar and Grill will welcome Canadian Country recording artist Trevor Alguire on Oct. 17 as he makes his debut in Cochrane for his Western Canadian tour.

Cochrane author and motivational speaker David Irvine has released his new book titled The Other Everest: Navigating the Pathway to Authentic Leadership when it was published in the middle of August.

The Cochrane Pipe Band is looking to celebrate the Celtic culture when it puts on its Cochrane Celtic Connections event Sept. 29 at the Cochrane Lions Event Centre as part of Alberta Culture Days.

Bragg Creek Performing Arts is looking to get its 2018 fall season underway with a trio of performances throughout October and November starting with Sweet Alibi and Jenie Thai on Oct. 13 and will finish with Port Cities on Nov. 24.

One the things that really impressed me about Cochrane when I first came here over 30 years ago was the variety and quality of the arts that I soon discovered.

With the month of August quickly coming to a close, it's soon to be the beginning of a new season.

Canadian musician Morgan Rider or better known as Deep Dark River will be making his first appearance at Half Hitch Brewing Company on Sept. 4, as part of the restaurants weekly performances.

Celtic folk band Celtara will be looking to end off summer with a bang as they kick off their summer tour in Canmore on Aug. 23 and will finish on Aug. 27 in Water Valley.
