With the end of the fundraiser in sight, Cochrane Mayor Jeff Genung and Banff-Airdrie MP Blake Richards are raising the stakes with a contest to see who can raise the most money before the finish line of June 30

Cochranites are encouraged to join Tourism Cochrane’s Explore local event at Riverfront Park on June 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to learn how they can spend the summer on and along the idyllic Bow River.

The Cochrane and District Agricultural Society is promising more fun than ever at this year’s Cochrane Fair, slated to go for two days instead of one, Aug. 19 and 20. This year’s version leans more toward music and family fun than it perhaps did in previous years.

In the rafting company’s tour of the Bow through Cochrane, paddlers enjoy a look at the history of the town as well as a lesson in the importance of healthy waterways and ecosystems.

Building Futures is an immersive, alternative learning program offered by Cochrane’s public school division through the Community Learning Centre (CLC), with the generous support of Kingsmith Homes.

Held at the Cochrane Ag Society on June 11, the Angry Hawk Youth-Duro event attracted competitors from ages four to 16 years old from across the province to compete in four downhill stages on the Buffalo Bean trail network
