Shandro said the province will use a careful, phased approach to bring back the surgeries, and will give priority to patients who are at a greater risk if their surgeries are delayed further.

“We know this is a difficult time for everyone and we know there’s people working very hard to make sure everybody is kept safe,” Cochrane Community Cares founder Jorja Powers said. “We thought we would do something for them.”

"We're trying to take all of the attributes or the highlights that you would find in your typical brick and mortar studio-style gym, where you have a close-knit community and keep that rolling online."

The province has reported the second consecutive day of double-digit COVID-19 infections.

"We had a pretty decent snow year in Canmore this year, not a lot of melting through chinooks and the snowpack has stayed with us." 

"It is currently in the legislative process, the government had hoped that it would have been passed expeditiously."

"We've done such great things to keep the virus at bay."

“Age is the predominant factor in severe cases and there is little we can do to change that except for protecting those who are older,” Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said. “But, we also know that many of the conditions associated with COVID related hospitalizations and deaths in younger people are things that can be addressed."
