LIONS CLUB DONATES $4,000 TO FRONT-LINE WORKERS The Cochrane Lions Club is donating $4,000 to support front-line care centre workers for their heroic efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Latest stats show 3,552 people have now recovered, 333 of them in the past 24 hours.

“I knew the feeling that they were going to be experiencing being isolated,” artist MJ Stead said. “I thought, ‘I know what I can do to maybe help those kids out.’”

“Mom’s deserve a nice meal every day,” Fence & Post owner and chef Chris Hartman said. “It’s what all our mothers deserve.”

“Testing is a critical element of our province's response to COVID-19 and its essential to our province's relaunch strategy,” Alberta Minister of Health Tyler Shandro said. “Our decisions about reopening businesses and resuming activities require us to have the most accurate and detailed information possible.”

“Golfers are really excited and can’t wait to get outside and have an activity— Golf is a great sport that can be played in an incredibly safe way.”

“I think people need that sunshine in their life and flowers they bring that joy. They carry that beautiful fragrance but they also bring that sunshine and joy that I think everybody needs in their life right now,” Brilliant Blooms owner and florist Brittni Wilson said

In the last 24 hours, the province has confirmed 70 new cases of COVID-19.
