As spring turns to summer, the greenery and lush landscape of the local region will explode with vibrant growth, and even if individual Cochranites lack their own personal green thumb, they too can partake in making their homes a little greener thanks to the help of Cochrane’s local gardening club.
The Cochrane and District Horticultural Society is hosting its semi-annual plant sale fundraiser on May 25 at the Cochrane Public Library. From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the Society will be selling perennials, house plants, plant starts, seeds, garden accessories, garden decor, pots, and gardening related books.
People who stop by the sale can enter a draw that will net one lucky winner a standing grow light that has been donated by Cochrane Home Treasures.
The two-hour Sunday event is cash only, and the Horticultural Society says the net proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the Helping Hands Meal Team Program and Big Hill Lodge.
Anyone interested in finding out more and getting updates about the sale can do so at the Horticultural Society Facebook page.
