Mayor’s Business Update
The Cochrane Business Network and Stacey Scott of Mortgage Architects will be hosting a free online webinar called 2021 Business Update featuring Mayor Jeff Genung. Genung’s position as both a politician and business owner givens him unique insight into running a business in the Cochrane community. Family Day Raffle
The Cochrane Immigrant Services Committee is hosting a family day raffle on its Facebook Page, Newcomers CISC Cochrane. To enter the contest, share a photo of your family doing something together and post it on Facebook using one of three hashtags indicating which prize you would like to win. Using #SpiritRanch will enter your family to win a 1.5-hour session for a facilitated equine experiential learning session at Spirit Winds Ranch, #SprayLake will enter you into a draw for a $50 gift card to the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre, and using #PeterGuthrieOffice will enter you to win a gift basket donated by MLA Peter Guthrie. New Ice Rink
The Town of Cochrane’s Parks staff have been busy putting the final touches on a new ice surface in the historic downtown. The new rink will be located on the corner of 2nd Avenue and 2nd Street, across from Family and Community Support Services. Due to Alberta Health Services’ guidelines, current capacity is limited to 50 people, physical distancing regulations are to be observed, face coverings are mandatory and only skating is permitted.
