Cochrane RCMP investigate theft of e-bike from downtown business

The stolen bicycle is described as an Orbea Rise M22 mountain e-bike, either teal or two-tone blue in colour.

Cochrane RCMP are seeking public assistance in nabbing a bicycle thief who broke into a downtown business last month, before taking off with an e-mountain bike.

According to a press release, Cochrane RCMP officers responded to a reported break-in at a business on March 6 at around 12:30 a.m.

"The investigation determined that at 11:45 p.m. on Mar. 5, 2022, a suspect gained entry to the business by smashing glass at the front of the building," the release stated. "The suspect then stole a bicycle and departed in a white SUV."

The suspect is described as standing anywhere from 5'10" to 6'0, with an average build. He wore camoflouge patterned cargo pants and a black hoody with a white design on the front and back. 

His vehicle is described as a newer model (2018-2022) Honda Odyssey, coloured either white, light grey, or silver.
