Mild temperatures will be on a hiatus for a few days as Cochrane experiences a cold front that will plunge temperatures into Sunday.
A Pacific weather system will move though the southern portion of the province beginning tonight and will taper off Saturday night. Much of Southern Alberta will be under a snowfall warning with about 10 to 20 centimetres expected to fall in the region.
Cochrane’s temperatures will dip to -11 C tonight. Saturday should see a high of -10 C and low of -17 C according to Environment Canada. The sun should peak out on Sunday with a high of -4 C expected and a low of - 14 C.
Visibility on roadways may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
