The Town of Cochrane announced through a Facebook post April 13 that three railway crossings will be closing, one day at at time, for two days each from May 3 to 10.
The upcoming closures are required so that Canadian Pacific Railway can remove the siding track at River Avenue, Centre Avenue and Fifth Avenue crossings, according to the Town.
The project is expected to improve crossings and provide a pedestrian link from the East side of River Avenue to, allowing for better connectivity.
A complete closure schedule is expected to be shared in the coming weeks.
