Cochrane RCMP is asking for public assistance regarding the car crash that claimed the life of a 23-year-old Calgary man.

Dylan Perry was killed Sept. 14 when he lost control of the car he was driving. Perry was travelling westward on Burma Road, just west of Bearspaw Road, when he went off the road and crashed through a number of fences. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Perry was the lone occupant of the 2013 black Dodge Challenger, which Cpl. Greg Stannard confirmed was stolen from Calgary.

Prior to the collision, Perry had been at Jamesons Irish Pub in Calgary, located near the intersection of 17th Avenue and 14th Street SW.

It is believed he travelled from the pub to Burma Road between the hours of 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Mounties are trying to piece together what would have brought Perry to the Bearspaw area, said Stannard.

Mounties are investigating a break enter and theft that occurred at the construction site of the future Bearspaw Fire Hall.

A storage container within the construction compound, located at the junction of Highway 1A and Lochend Road, was accessed by cutting a lock, said Stannard. More than $3,000 worth of construction tools were stolen.

A worker reported the theft on Oct. 11. It is believed the incident occurred between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7:30 a.m. the next day.

RCMP urges anyone with information pertaining to either of these incidents to call 403-851-8000 or Crimestoppers.
