The Town of Cochrane has announced that sidewalk replacement work along Sheridan Mall will begin on Tuesday, September 2.
The project will cover the sidewalk along the east parking lot of Sheridan Mall on Centre Avenue and is expected to take about two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
“We recognize the construction on Centre Avenue has been challenging for both businesses and residents,” said Adam Sullo, director of engineering services. “This warranty work must be completed to guarantee a durable sidewalk. We thank the community for their continued patience and encourage everyone to keep supporting local businesses during this time.”
The replacement is part of the final stages of the Centre Avenue Phase 3 road widening project, which has been underway since 2020.
Pedestrian access and all businesses will remain open throughout construction. Alternative parking will be available north of the mall at the corner of First Avenue West and Second Street. On-site signage will be in place to help guide visitors.
