The Town of Cochrane’s trophy case must be close to busting at the seams, thanks to a number of awards brought home from town staff members.
Parks manager Terry Robertson, received the 2012 Bruce Fowlow Memorial Facility Operator of the Year award from the Alberta Association of Recreation Facility Personnel, in recognition of his leadership and commitment to Cochrane’s recreation operations.
The town’s communications team took home three International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill awards. The Gold Quill award is designed to benchmark communication excellence on an international scale.
“I look around every day and feel immense pride in the great work being done to serve this community,” said Julian deCocq, CAO at the town. “I feel proud and privileged to work with such talented, dedicated, accomplished professionals.”
Jane Donnelly, an early childhood educator with the Western Rocky View Parent Link Centre, was also recognized for her work in the community. She was honoured with a 2013 Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Professional Award of Excellence.
