The Rotary Club of Cochrane recently announced the winners of the ‘Interact’ fine arts competition, which tasked them with depicting how the incorporate the core values of Rotary into their life.

Fox's column, Îethka Voices, was a popular feature in The Cochrane Eagle, and education was central to his life.

“The day is all family-oriented so it’s a great time to come out with the kids from 11 in the morning until 11 at night, and we’re having a very big fireworks show this year,” Richards said. 

“It really helps us,” McDonald said. “The free food sheds were really built to create an opportunity for mutual aid for community members.”

Kindergarten students, parents, and Fireside School staff were able to get up close and personal with a Calgary Police Service HAWC helicopter after it landed in the field near the school for an impromptu presentation on Friday.

"With the recent announcement of shared e-scooter company, Roll, ceasing operations, Cochrane is excited to partner with Bird to carry out the remainder of the pilot project," the Town's press release stated.

While money doesn’t grow on trees, the 80-year-old Cochrane-based company is keenly aware of the central role that growing trees plays in ensuring they may be around for another 80.

“There are no bylaws around dogs on the Nation, so we’re not equipped to handle dogs … we’re not trained to catch dogs and sometimes they’re injured, and that’s when most of the time our team members get bit, is trying to pick up a dog that’s been injured to transport them to safety,” said Richard.
