All incumbents re-elected.

“All girls need to be equal,” Averie Knowles, one of the Brownies, said. “Some girls around the world don’t get to do the things I do, like go to school and be in Girl Guides.”

In a show of dominance, the Cochrane High Cobras girls’ soccer team finished their competitive regular season undefeated, winning their last game against the Bert Church Chargers at home with a score of 10-2 on Oct. 7.

Patrick Wilson said he has more work to do from town council, especially from the traffic and growth management front, and to support local businesses in a meaningful way.

“As a parent I have seen the failures of decisions that have been made firsthand on me,” he said. “I don’t wish to see another parent go through some of these effects. I can’t sit on the sidelines and think someone else is going to do it. I feel strongly I am the one to do it.”

His name may appear on the ballot, but Gerry Neustaedter does not care if voters put a checkmark next to his name or not on Oct. 18.

Incumbent town councillor Morgan Nagel is making his third run for Cochrane council and said his mission to preserve his beloved community.

The Cochrane Generals undefeated streak is over with a 4-1 loss last night to the Mountain View Colts.
