The Town of Cochrane had a reported 204 active cases of COVID-19 as of the end of the day Sunday (May 2). Outbreaks of five or more cases of COVID-19 have been reported at Bow Valley High School, Cochrane High School, RancheView School, St. Timothy High School and Cochrane Christian Academy.

“Residents have a responsibility to not encourage bears to be in Cochrane and that really does come down to the availability of food,” Honeyman said. “If people can make that food not available, they’re not going to have any bear issues.”

“We need to be able to come together and speak and share issues, share information, educate and bring awareness. Hopefully, that changes attitudes."

COCHRANE— Rocky View Schools' families received letters from the division Saturday (May 1) and Sunday (May 2) indicating students at Mitford School, Fireside School and Westbrook School will be moving to online learning.

COCHRANE— The fire restrictions in the Town of Cochrane have been lifted. Effective 10 a.m. Monday (May 3) the restrictions were removed due to the positive weather change in the community.
