As of the end of the day Tuesday (March 9) there were a reported 36 active cases of COVID-19 in the town. To date, 361 cases have been identified in Cochrane— Two people have died and 323 people have recovered.

The staff of the Cochrane Public Library are excited to reopen its doors to the public.

"The budget was decoupled from the sharing of the funding profiles," Lang said. "We don't actually have the details that we need to move things forward."

Three schools in the region are reporting multiple cases of the virus. Bow Valley High School has reported an outbreak of 10 or more cases, Cochrane High School is on alert for a reported two to four cases of COVID-19 and Elizabeth Barret Elementary School is on alert for two to four cases of the virus.

“I have a motto that’s basically giving back to the community gives me so much,” Leah said. “You just have to give back when you’re blessed.”
