"I'm not really seeing it as a community-wide user problem at this point," said councillor Tara McFadden. "It hasn't been a problem really yet, in my opinion, and as a driver myself you see a sign that's out there it beholden on me to make sure I understand what the point of the sign is."

“Honestly, they’re the most amazing volunteers. They file hundreds and hundreds of tax returns. Last year we hit over 500,” she said. “They’re amazing. I can’t speak to all of the tax clinics that this program offers all over Canada, but we really lucked out on our volunteers."

“I think a lot of people are just at the end of their rope,” Guetg said. “I hope some people will take advantage of it.”

Amid rising deferred maintenance costs and a lack of revenue generated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bragg Creek Community Centre is facing an uncertain future.

As of the end of the day on March 14, there were 44 active cases of COVID-19 in the Town of Cochrane. To date, there have been 373 cases reported in town— Two people have died and 327 have recovered.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday (March 15) officers attempted a vehicle stop in front of the Winks convenience store on Highway 1A.

“We can preserve it and use it wisely,” Flowers said. ”It’s essential keeping it community-based— We can all use it and share it and make the best use of it.”

“Research has proven that the person that discloses if they get a negative reaction or a wall put up, they typically will not disclose for a long, long time afterwards,” Gilmore. “We can help you have that conversation so that people feel more comfortable to open up and talk about and provide those resources for them to be able to get the help that they are looking for.”

Leonine O’Driscoll-Zak, 5, and Wyatt O’Driscoll-Zak, 2, are believed to be in the company of their grandmother, Therese O’Driscoll, 68, and their aunt Alison O’Driscoll 38.

“I remember this coming into the showroom and looking at it when it was brand new sitting on the showroom floor,” Kuntz said. “It was pretty cool.”
