Cochrane Minor Ball will be installing Automated External Defibrillators at five baseball diamonds around Cochrane after receiving the Capital Reinvestment Grant from the Bow RiversEdge Campground Society.

“On all of routes down to bare asphalt is what our goal is,” Gibbons said. “We’re not out trying to ruin your day by plowing in your driveway … We just want to get the roads plowed and not make too much of a mess.”

The Town of Cochrane had a reported 10 active cases of COVID-19 as of the end of the day Wednesday (Feb. 17). To date, Cochrane has reported 324 cases of the virus— Two people have died and 312 people have recovered.

What's happening in Cochrane this week: The Town has issued a warning regarding hazardous conditions on the Bow, the Cochrane Ecological Institute is hosting a free webinar to discuss grizzly bear rehabilitation and local producers are coming together to spread the word about community supported agriculture.

“I felt like we owed something to that senior group of athletes. Those are guys that have won two provincial championships, we’ve had those guys for two off seasons, we’ve had them for two full seasons. I just felt like if I was in that position as an athlete, I would hope that my coaches would be able to give like we were able to.”

“I’m trying to figure out what to do now and what my next step is with the girls,” Simeon said. “They need a place to call home— That’s my main focus.”

As of the end of the day Tuesday (Feb. 16) there were a reported nine active cases of the virus in Cochrane. To date, the town had identified 323 cases of the virus— Two people have died and 312 people have recovered.

“These are both admittedly small contributions in the grand scheme, but I would suggest that they are worthy considerations as we stand with Cochrane’s suffering small business community and just know that we’re doing whatever little we can with the small of amount of control we have,” said Councillor Patrick Wilson.

“The community here everybody supports each other— People want to support each other and lift each other up as much as we can,” Leonzio said. “This is an opportunity to do that.”
