COCHRANE— The Town of Cochrane saw a slight uptick in active COVID-19 cases, seeing a rise to 67 on Wednesday (Dec. 9). To date, there have been 164 cases reported in the town, including 97 people who have recovered.

“It’s really, really important, especially at this time. It’s Christmas, it’s dark out we’re in the middle of a global pandemic. We’re having all sorts of economic difficulties. That’s when we really need to be looking at things that make us feel good and art really does that.”

"We have reports saying that 40 per cent of these small businesses may not be able to turn the lights back on if we don't provide them with supports."

BRAGG CREEK—Cochrane RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in the continued investigation of a sudden death near the hamlet of Bragg Creek.

On Tuesday the Town of Cochrane saw a slight decline in COVID-19 numbers dropping from 67 active cases to 66 Tuesday (Dec. 8). To date, there have been 160 cases in town and 94 people have recovered.

Due to the warm fall Cochrane has experienced, ice and water hazards around town are especially dangerous right now.

Expiry stickers no longer issued or needed as province moves to reflective license plates starting in 2021.
