On Tuesday (Dec. 15) the town had a reported 55 active cases of the virus.

“They basically make their own little youth group, because they’re not mixing with the general population. The class actually gets pretty tight, and it’s pretty cool to see because the kids kind of transcend a lot of the high school culture that can sometimes be toxic. The depth of their relationships goes a lot deeper.”

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane now sits at 60 people. As of end of day Sunday (Dec. 13) there have been a reported 183 cases of COVID-19 in the Town of Cochrane. To date 122 patients have recovered.

The province has secured a second set of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, with 25,350 doses coming next week,

"Catalytic converter theft is a rising crime trend across the country," said Cochrane RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff. "Our officers are working hard to employ specific crime reduction tactics to target both the offenders as well as the recycle yards accepting these items."
