"It was a great time in my life, I thoroughly enjoyed it when I had the store and I particularly enjoyed the vets next door, Johnny Jacobson and Rod and Iowa they were just tremendous guys. We had a lot of chattering back and forth, they were also good friends. It was a good part of my life, I must say. I needed a break from what I was doing and it was a wonderful one."

“As we work through this pandemic we need to continue to have a focus on not just what our current state is, because I think we’re doing a good job of flattening the curve and staying home, being kind and saving lives, but I would like us to start to focus on our future,” Genung said. “There will be a day when we get through this.”

“We don’t yet know when the pandemic will end or when we will be able to start easing up on economic and social restrictions need to contain the virus,” Premier Jason Kenney said. “In the meantime and over the long term let me tell you this for certain—Alberta is there for you.”

“These restrictions will not be in place forever,” Alberta Medical Chief Officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw said. “At this time we are not yet at that point where we can start easing off.”

"I thought it would be neat to see a mural representing our community at a public place to remind us that even in the worst of times, we were able to stick together and have this beautiful community united."

“It’s important to remember that the COVID-19 pandemic we will all be dealing with for some while,” Hinshaw said. “What we do have is each other and the basic measures to prevent spread that will be with us in the months to come.”

"These new schools will provide our children with modern places to learn that will lay the foundation for their futures while also getting Albertans back to work.”
