Cochrane product and Okotoks Oilers forward Austin Wong has committed to the University of Harvard of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).

The Cochrane Chaos women’s junior hockey team continued their great start to the season after a 4-0 win over the Sherwood Park Steele on Oct. 21.

Cochrane’s Connor Bouchard is one of 66 players selected to represent Canada at the 2017 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge scheduled to take place Nov. 5 to 11 in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, B.C.

The St. Timothy Thunder cross country team is looking to defend its third straight 2A school silver medals at the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association Provincials on Oct. 21 in Edmonton at Rundle Park.

The Bow Valley Timberwolves Midget AA team continued their blistering start to the season with a pair of victories on Oct. 14 and 15 to improve their record to 6-0 on the season. The Timberwolves defeated the Taber Golden Suns 4-1 on Oct.

After winning four games straight, the streaky Cochrane Generals dropped both of their games over the weekend to even the Generals’ record at 4-4. Cochrane lost 3-2 to the Blackfalds Wranglers on Oct.

Cochrane golfer Paul Oldridge is one of 135 athletes selected to be a part of Team Alberta for the 2018 Special Olympics.
