The Cochrane Generals junior B hockey team surrendered their second-place position in the Heritage Junior Hockey League's (HJHL) south division last weekend after a pair of defeats on home ice.

"The girls all know each other. I don’t see animosity, I just see good, aggressive play from the girls. A cross-town rivalry that isn’t too mean? That’s what you want.”

“Honestly I think it’s awesome,” Member of Team Great Britain, Quentin James Wedderburn said. “I’ve been through a lot of competitions trying to get here right now, so I quite excited right now and I’m honoured."

"All in all, our guys are firing on all cylinders right now, which is what we need," Jones said.

“Once we’re out [on the ice], the girls are really competitive and they’re working hard to get better all the time," Loomer said. "Hopefully that’s going to continue.”

“I’m so excited. It’s something I’ve been wanting since the initial invite list came out," said Spademan.
