A late third period goal propelled the Okotoks Bisons to a 1-0 victory in Game 3, giving them a 2-1 series lead. Read the full breakdown of Game's 1, 2, and 3 in this week's version of the Eagle in order to get you prepped for Game 4 that will take place in Cochrane on Thursday evening. 

Patrick Forde scored the game winner with less than two minutes to go in the third period to give the Generals a 3-2 victory over the Okotoks Bisons. Game 3 will take place tonight at 7:15 p.m.

After losing Game 1 by a 4-2 score, the Cochrane Generals are looking to even up their series with the Okotoks Bisons.

"It really helps to be able to draw on past experiences and maintain composure if you get down. We found that in both games against Lethbridge as they tied us late in game one and were ahead of us 2-1 after the first period in the second game and our team did not panic - just worked hard and chipped away to get our wins."

After falling behind in the series three games to one, Cochrane Generals completed the comeback with a 4-1 victory in Game 7.

"We were just shy of $17,000 last year," he said. "So we're definitely looking to beat this year's total and raise at least $17,000 or more. If we do that, then we'd hit $100,000 total and that would be huge for an event like this."

Five first period goals was enough for the Cochrane Generals to force a Game 7 in their series with the Medicine Hat Cubs.

“I wanted to help out in some capacity … I’ve met some pretty awesome parents along the way,” said Tuite, laughing that by the end of hockey season she is ready for a break, but can’t help but offer up her managerial capabilities by the start of the next.

Brandon Aab scored the overtime winner to help Cochrane force Game 6.

The Cochrane Generals dropped a 5-3 decision to the Medicine Hat Cubs to fall behind three games to one in their second round match up.
