You win one. You lose one. So it goes for the Cochrane Generals. Struggling to score goals, the team is leaning heavily on its defence and goaltending to pull out wins early in the Heritage Junior Hockey League season.

Cochrane’s all-weather, artificial-turf playing field is beginning to take shape at Bow Valley High School. Ground has been broken and the field area is being prepared for the base layer on which the FieldTurf playing surface will be installed.

School’s in. Cochrane’s Hannah Olenyk is already hard at it, hitting the books and the rink at University of Alberta in Edmonton.

Potential. When you step through the door to the next level, it’s all you have. After dominating at high school, you start at zero in university.
