The Airdrie-Cochrane Havoc U16 AA boys hockey team donned pink against the Lethbridge Hurricanes for their annual "Pink in the Rink" home opener on Oct. 22, to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research organizations

The Bow Valley Bobcats football team secured their first win since 2018 on Oct. 6, defeating the Springbank Phoenix 28-6 in the west Cochrane team's final game of the 2022 Rocky View Sports Association (RVSA) regular season.

“We were just thinking, we feel pretty confident with our team, our coaching staff, and our preparation,” said the Cobras head coach, Rob McNab. “We just thought maybe this is the year we’ll go out and see what we can do.”

“Back in Cochrane, we have such great support and we’re really looking forward to another great season. Hopefully a lot of people can come out to see some very talented young ladies play a very exciting brand of hockey.”
