"The sixth straight title is definitely something that means something to not only our program, but the players as well. At the end of the day, we can't be bothered by the pressure. We need to keep playing our game and hopefully we like the outcome."

The Cochrane Cobras took home the RVSA divisional banner after a very hard-fought 2-1 victory over Springbank.

"We have a really resilient group with strong leadership. It's important for us to stay focused on the process and not get too high when we win or too low when we lose - just learn from each and get a bit better each week."

The St. Timothy Thunder cross country team had a nice showing on the provincial stage after taking home their first City Championship last weekend.

"Bert Church is a fast, athletic team," Vaillancourt said of the Cobras future opponent. "We are going to have to play well in order to beat them. We need to move the ball and keep possession because they also have a good offence that can make you pay." 

"We walked away with the four points needed on Friday and Sunday. On Saturday, calls weren't really going our way, but I think we proved that we can compete with any team in this league. The team came in focused and determined and that was a huge factor in our success."

The Bow Valley Timberwolves have kicked off their season with a bronze medal at a Thanksgiving weekend tournament in Camrose.

The St. Timothy Thunder won the cross country City Championships on Oct. 9 with a dominating performance.

The Cochrane Generals had three games over Thanksgiving weekend.

The Cochrane Cobras and Bow Valley Bobcats are preparing for the RVSA playoffs after they finished up their respective regular season schedules.
