In last week’s column , Angela Kaquitts shared her experience of silence as she paused along the shore of Lac des Arcs. “The silence calmed my restless soul,” she said.

I would like to express my opinion on the situation at the Jim Uffelmann Park. Yes, it is a beautiful location, but there is nothing beautiful about this park! This Park is being loved to dead! To be very honest it is a disaster zone.

I’m incredibly honoured to have the opportunity to spend time this week focusing on the people in our community who serve as volunteers.

Obviously, personal preferences play a role. The same can be said about the arts or food. Still, a few notions of wine tasting go a long way in understanding what you are tasting and helping you sort out the good, the bad and the ugly.

I am writing to express my opinion that all schools in and around large metropolitan areas, and rural areas with high infection numbers, should be closed for the duration of April. I come to this conclusion unwillingly.
