The business plan for a new South Springbank Community Centre was approved by Rocky View County’s (RVC) Recreation Governance Committee on Feb. 1, but the decision came reluctantly and with plenty of fireworks.

The process of approving the future construction of a new Costco warehouse and supporting infrastructure in the Bingham Crossing shopping area of Springbank will finally commence on Feb. 7.

The newly minted executive teams of both the Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions will be working toward full amalgamation over the course of their terms. The Alberta Wheat Commission announced its new executive team on Jan.

In a verdict posted on Elections Alberta's website, Elections Commissioner Glen Resler stated a Rocky View County-based organization, “Albertans for Property Rights and Democracy (AFPRAD),” was issued a $750 'administrative penalty' for violating the province's Local Authorities Election Act.
