The newly minted executive teams of both the Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions will be working toward full amalgamation over the course of their terms. The Alberta Wheat Commission announced its new executive team on Jan.

Rocky View County (RVC) council has voted to establish a new home-based business directory, but the decision did not come without disagreement and debate. County staff sought council input on what such a directory should look like at the Jan.

In a verdict posted on Elections Alberta's website, Elections Commissioner Glen Resler stated a Rocky View County-based organization, “Albertans for Property Rights and Democracy (AFPRAD),” was issued a $750 'administrative penalty' for violating the province's Local Authorities Election Act.

It’s a sunny time for farmers in Alberta coming into 2023 as strong commodity prices, high-quality, high-value crops and good yields in 2022 have led to great profits.
