“I think the women in the group were very eager to join the group and meet other women because we’re all pretty independent,” said Rockyview Lady Rider founder Debbie Leah said. “To find a group of women who can all ban together and ride together— I think that is really cool.”

LIONS CLUB DONATES $4,000 TO FRONT-LINE WORKERS The Cochrane Lions Club is donating $4,000 to support front-line care centre workers for their heroic efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are enthusiastic about the concept of being able to get back to work sooner than we maybe potentially thought,” said Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce president Kelly Sinclair. “It is a glimmer of hope although I will take it with the same couched enthusiasm that the premier expressed.”

“I knew the feeling that they were going to be experiencing being isolated,” artist MJ Stead said. “I thought, ‘I know what I can do to maybe help those kids out.’”

“Testing is a critical element of our province's response to COVID-19 and its essential to our province's relaunch strategy,” Alberta Minister of Health Tyler Shandro said. “Our decisions about reopening businesses and resuming activities require us to have the most accurate and detailed information possible.”
