Fugitive captured near Cochrane sentenced to jail
America's "Most Wanted Deadbeat" who was captured by the former Bear's Den restaurant owner in February, has been sentenced to two years in jail by a Michigan Judge. He was also ordered to pay $500, 000 in restitution after pleading guilty in April.

One dead near train tracks, body spotted by train conductor
Cochrane RCMP and CP Rail are investigating an incident near the train tracks by the Hwy 1a and Hwy 22 intersection. After 8 a.m. this morning, a man, believed to be 40 years old, was spotted by a CP Rail train conductor.
