“There’s a lot of questions in my family as to why one uncle from the same family was on the front lines of Normandy, while the other uncles were shipped off to prisoners of war camps,” Rosin said.

“It’s a collaborative effort among many social groups in the community, church groups, schools, businesses, individuals that all come together to donate items and gifts to give to people that are in need or have a bad year and are not able to provide a Christmas to their family,” Hubman said.

“The Hundred for the Haven is really going to allow us to take that next step and make sure that we're there all the time when women need us,” McFadden said. “$100 a month is more possible for a lot of people than say $1,200 in one shot— For us to have that sustainable funding, to know what it looks, really allows us to focus on the next step in our growth.”

“A new Wildrose Independence Party will produce the best constitution that has ever been produced on the earth before that will protect the individual's life, the individual's freedom, the individual's property and the individual's pursuit of happiness,” said Wildrose Independence Party of Alberta interim leader Paul Hinman.

The Town of Cochrane has activated the mandatory indoor face-covering bylaw.

“I think the draft budget is one of the most important documents that council prepares,” said Town of Cochrane interim CAO Drew Hyndman. “It really provides a summary of the work we are going to do in the next few years and really provides residents the opportunity to have a better understanding of that, but also provide their insights about what they believe the priorities for the community need to be.”
