I think the vast majority of Cochrane pet owners do not care if Cochrane has an off-leash area for their pet. Our home backs onto the Bow River in West Terrace.

Barbara Kohn’s recent letter to the editor shows just how far Alberta’s socialists are out of touch with economic reality. Alberta cannot, must not, continue the current spending spree that will do nothing but drive the deficit from 10.

As many people in Cochrane know, it has been a long and challenging road to recovery for me this past year.

This letter is in response to Jim Uffelmann and his rant against the Cochrane Eagle, Cochrane council and Cochrane citizens about the rejected off-leash dog park. First, let me clarify that I don't live near the proposed dog park location.

The cancellation of the proposed dog park left me feeling dismayed to say the very least.

Time to address the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about, or rather that no one can offer a viable solution to.

In response to Hans Kusche’s letter Don’t ignore God’s law that appeared in last week’s Eagle, I cannot help but feel astounded and a little sad as to how someone can view our wonderfully varied and colourful world as just black and white.

I was dismayed when I saw the Conservative bumper sticker on a truck in our neighbourhood that read, “Rachel Notley is Destroying Alberta.” That seems to be the Conservative mantra as the party is trying to recover from its sound defeat.

I went to school many, many years ago and we had our share of students who were different. Some boys acted feminine and some girls were leaning in their behaviour and dress towards the opposite sex.

West Valley has not won. West Valley as a whole has lost out on a much needed local resource that would have enhanced an unused blight of a space.
