'Machines' head to Ghost

'Machines' head to Ghost

Dear editor: Enough is enough! As a young person born and raised in the Cochrane area, I must express my anger regarding mismanagement of the public forests surrounding our community. Bragg Creek and Kananaskis have been clear-cut beyond recognition.

Watershed moment for clear-cut forestry

Dear editor: Logging in the Ghost Valley concerns me for so many reasons: · damage to county roads never designed for industrial traffic; · safety concerns for the residents who will be forced to share these narrow roads with logging trucks; · the de

Salaries dismay Stoney Nation member

Dear editor: The Stoney chiefs earn a base salary of $125,000 each year or $500,000 over a four-year term and $375,000 over a three-year term. Add to that expenses that include month-end travel and undefined expenses which average $100,000 per year and you will find that Chief Ernest Wesley has earned $900,000 in wages and expenses as chief of the Wesley Band since his election in 2010.

Rocky View Handibus needs our support

Dear editor: I wanted to comment on the Rocky View Handibus article from last week asking for more money for supporting its services. First off, I want to say what a great job they do, as I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment.
