COCHRANE— The Cochrane and Area Humane Society was briefly home to two unlikely friends in March. A mouse, later called Melvin by the staff, was brought to the Humane Society after being found by some Cochranites.

COCHRANE— RCMP has charged Alison O’Driscoll, 38, and Therese O’Driscoll, 68, for the alleged abduction of Leonine O’Driscoll-Zak, two, and Wyatt O’Driscoll-Zak, five.

In response to provincial health measures only allowing for in-person dining on patios, The Town of Cochrane has expedited the application process for local restaurants looking to create outdoor patios.

The town of Cochrane currently sits at 145 active cases, and has recorded 574 cases in total. Two people have died, and 427 have recovered from the disease.

“While we appreciate that the government has provided flexibility in piloting, we have heard from our administration and many parents and staff requesting that the pilot does not occur in RVS classrooms for a number of reasons."
