Alberta Education approved requests from Calgary Catholic and the Calgary Board of Education to shift Grades 7 to 12 to at-home learning on Wednesday (April 14). The move to online learning begins on Monday (April 19) and is expected to last for two weeks.

“You are right in the middle of it all,” Parker said. “When your unit is deployed off to Calgary it's the next community and that’s where your ambulance is coming from, or maybe two communities away.”

Two of Cochrane's finest were honoured in a provincial medal ceremony on Wednesday (April 14).

“We’ve done quite a bit of water main replacement, that also included replacing the service lines to properties, and we haven’t encountered any lead services. That is what gives us a little more confidence in relation to all of this.”

"I think by the time the province decides it's time for the masks to come off I think Cochrane will be ready to," said Councillor Morgan Nagel.

“I realize this online option was a response to the pandemic, but I have to say, it was incredibly well done and I hear incredibly positive remarks from parents,” Baziuk said. “I like that Rocky View offers parents this type of choice."

They get tolerant different gaits, the walk, trot, canter, they learn how to control their horse, they learn how to be safe around their horse.”

“One of the biggest considerations ought to be need and growth and I think that would be Rocky View pretty near the top of the list,” Baziuk said. “I would really hope that we are considered.”
