The Town of Cochrane has seen three candidate's complete nomination forms since forms were eligible for submission on Jan. 1.

The Cochrane Art Club is hosting a virtual art show beginning April 24, which will feature roughly 100 pieces from the club's 29 members.

“Us doing this has been a guiding light in keeping people alive and safe,” Wagman said. “We’re starting to get that feedback on our social media and with our response and that feels incredible.”

The Town of Cochrane identified 102 active cases of COVID-19 as of the end of the day Wednesday (April 7). To date, the town has reported 496 cases of the virus— Two people have died and 392 people have recovered.

“Calving is fun, we do a lot of things on horseback still and you get to get out and see a new calf having his first suck and running and jumping and hiding in the grass, but it’s a lot of work regardless of the year,” Eklund said.

What's happening in Cochrane this week: The Cochrane and Area Humane Society is now accepting scholarship applications, The Helping Hands Food drive is cancelled, and the Lego Competition has moved online for 2021.

“I think there’s going to be a lot of room for me to improve going to the colts. Playing for the Colts is really going to help my play style and give me good tips that I didn’t know before and overall make a better player."
