The Bow Valley Timberwolves hosted the Airdrie Lightning for the season opener at the Cochrane Arena on Saturday (Nov. 7).

The Gens earned themselves two victories in the opening weekend of the 2020/21 season.

“I thought it was a terrific game. I thought overall we did a terrific job for the full 60 minutes— We played very hard and we had very few breakdowns,” head coach Derek Loome said. “The shots show that we outshot them. I think they got a couple of good bounces and we got a couple of good goals."

The current schedule will take the team into February, and the Heritage Junior Hockey League will determine a plan for the playoffs at a later date.
