I must commend Matthew Rowley for voicing an important element of council's push to cut trash services.

As I read the news this week I thought, ‘hmmm, we have an opportunity right now.’ I’m specifically referring to the issue of the Jones Estates and Coun. Morgan Nagel’s unsuccessful UPC nomination for the upcoming provincial election.

I wish to thank the Cochrane Town Council for the Oct. 22 discussion on Bylaw 25/2018 with respect to the Jones Estate Re-Zoning and then the resultant direction given to the Town of Cochrane Administration.

Recently our benevolent town council has brought forward the ridiculous idea of moving our waste collection to a bi-weekly arrangement.

A big shout out to the organizers of Taste of Cochrane. It was a well run event. Many thanks to the participating restaurants. The food was delicious. Thank you all for a great day. Colleen Peters

We are all trying to deal with the most daunting crisis ever faced by mankind. Climate change threatens our ability to survive on this Earth, and any possibility of a future for our descendants.

This week, I again heard about further council deliberation about biweekly garbage collection. I again heard about the concerns over a perceived lack of garbage bin space and lack of consultation. I have to admit to a personal bias about this topic.

People who know me would agree that I am not particularly politically savvy.

I would like to add my vote to have the old KFC site to be included as part of the Tri-Site discussion. In my opinion, this site has equal value to the town as any of the other parcels of land.
