I am most certainly a proud Canadian. The scenery provided by Canada’s forested landscapes touches something deep within me every time. It inspires me to hike, camp, and cross-country ski.

Dear editor: I am writing to express my sadness and disappointment at the targeted acts of vandalism on the election signs of Liberal candidate Marlo Raynolds in the town of Cochrane.

Dear editor: This letter is a plea to local law enforcement to increase patrols of regular traffic offences. The first is the total disregard of traffic lights, and the hot-rodding/racing of vehicles through downtown streets.

Dear editor: We toured Spray Lake Sawmills Oct. 1 at 1 p.m., one of numerous tours held that day. It was great to see them open their doors and let the public tour their site. We saw best how to use every log so that wastage is minimal.

Dear editor: Regarding SLS’s harvest of the South B9 Quota, a settled area of both public and private lands in the MD of Bighorn, residents seem able to articulate their concerns, quite apart from stopghostclearcut.com. The big issue is time.

Dear editor: The Helfrich and Garraway families would like to send everyone a heartfelt thank you for all the flowers, food, cards and help we received during Tony’s sickness and his passing.

Dear editor: I am old enough to remember the 1970s when the predominant mantra was that a new ice age was about to engulf the planet and kill us all. Didn’t happen.

Dear editor: This is a response to the letter that Mr. Mjolsness had published in the Eagle last week. The story of Spray Lake Sawmills began over 70 years ago, built on the optimism and hard work of your father and uncle.
