Dear editor: Ron Voss, PhD, seems to think that global climate change (caused by global warming) has something to do with a snowfall here, in August.

Dear editor: I first stumbled onto a cutblock three years ago. The massive scale of the operation stunned me. Standing there, I was overwhelmed by sadness and horrified to realize this was actually happening so close to my home in Cochrane.

Dear editor: Re: Letter to the editor, ‘Not buying into the ‘religion of global warming’’ You might as well not buy into the concept of gravity. Great idea until you fall down.

Dear editor: I take issue with the portrayal by Ron Voss of climate change as a “scam”, people expressing urgency for climate action as “hysterical” and global warming as a “religion.

Dear editor: I am a retired member of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) Police Service and I live in Cochrane.

Dear editor: Thanks to Jeff Allan and Theresa Voigt for their observations on the Ghost logging plan. I am an average person living in Cochrane and their letter has opened my eyes to what is going on out there.

Dear editor: I am writing to express my opposition to the current plan for logging in the Ghost River Valley. I’d like to summarize some problematic aspects of the current logging plan so that others might also be moved to act against this plan.

Dear editor: I was intrigued by the announcement of a discussion on ‘global warming’ (since changed to ‘climate change’) scheduled for Sept. 11 in Cochrane.

Dear editor: Re: What to do with the old town office land? Think “park!” There has been some discussion and debate with regards to what should be done with the old town office land across from the current FCSS Homestead Building.

Dear editor: On Aug. 9, our lives changed forever with the sudden passing of our dearly loved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, fellow cadet and friend.
