After some customers reached out back in June to invite the store’s support for the annual Brain Tumour Walk on June 27, a cause close to them, The Beer Den partnered up with Banded Peak Brewing to back them.

Inspector Dave Brunner and Cpl. Troy Savinkoff presented Robert Wambold, a member of the RCMP Auxiliary Program, with a plaque to commemorate over 10 years of service to the province and program, especially with search and rescue operations.

“We decided … We would just move it into Town and support some Cochrane people to come and watch a drive-in movie in Cochrane,” Baum said. “We’re excited to have that and excited to bring it closer to home.”

“We have such a large population of kids coming to the club who identify as two-spirited and LGBTQ+,” Humes said. “We want to make sure that they can be as involved as possible. We really listened to what they want to see and we’re getting them to help us do everything.”

“That’s my goal, to get them involved in sports, get healthy and to get disciplined. Basketball is very, very good for the body."

Shortly after 12 p.m. on Cochrane RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle collision on Highway 40 near Range Road 61.
