Last week there was a letter in the paper titled; Not enough for Seniors. In the letter, the author says that other communities surrounding Calgary, like Carstairs, Strathmore, Sundre have superior facilities for its senior population.

The last time I was at one of our local supermarkets I asked if they had any ethically raised meat. The butcher tried to be helpful, but it was clear she had no idea what the conditions were on the farms from which the store got its meat.

It is a little surprising to see this request come up again ... but one has to appreciate the dedication and zeal of the proponents. Nonetheless, it brings some concerns to the fore.
